FLAVORS, HERE’S THE SCOOP!
When we started our shop almost seven years ago, we had just seven flavors. We now make over 100! However, we will always put just eight of those flavors out at a time to ensure freshness and quality. It is important to us to offer limited quantities at a time so that our customers have the highest quality and freshest ice cream. We change our pans out 2-3 times a day in our busy season- now that's fresh! We make each ice cream flavor in house, from scratch, in what our industry calls a microcreamery.
We make more commonly known flavors such as: Vanilla, Vanilla Bean, Double Chocolate, Peanut Butter, Butter Pecan, Strawberries & Cream, Cookies & Cream, Coffee (made with locally roasted beans from 8th & Roast in Nashville), Cinnamon Brown Sugar, Andes Mint, and Banana Bean, but we also make more unique and international flavors such as: Okinawa Sweet Potato, Blueberry Lavander, Earl Gray Lavender, Rose Cardamom Pistachio, Orange Cardamom, Thai Tea, Campfire (a flavor where we cold smoke the base, add chocolate bits of our homemade waffle cones, and roasted marshmallows), Brown Sugar Boubon infused with real bourbon, and more!
Our inspiration for flavors comes in large part from customer suggestions. We also research and get inspiration from acclaimed chefs, coffee shops, etc. Making ice cream is an art to us, to co-owner and chef Marty, especially. We call our ice cream artisanal because we handcraft it. It is a work of art and a labor of love!
In our dessert case, we make double chocolate and peanut butter fudge, chocolate dipped oreos, chocolate dipped peppermint patties, truffles, chocolate covered strawberries (seasonal), brownies, cookies, rice krispy treats, banana bread, and more!
All baked treats are made on-site, from scratch, and are gluten free (but you wouldn't know they were GF if I didn't tell you, shh, the taste is spot on!) Our shop is actually 100% gluten free with zero cross-contamination. We are very proud of that.
We are continuously learning and growing in our craft. We attend a convention once a year with others from our industry and learn invaluable things from it. The comradery is great and we truly do root each other on and wish each other success. It is a great industry to be in!
